Cloud Computing is still a subject that raises many questions. We read and listen almost daily to data storage, cloud-based systems, services, products, streaming videos, music, applications and infrastructure that are in cloud computing environment.
The main idea is to be able to access servers, files and data from anywhere in the world using the internet and making access to this content possible by several people from different locations, provided they have authorized and authenticated access to the hardware.
Cloud is the evolution of data centers, it is a hyper convergent hardware with layers of virtualized software that allow you to create virtual machines and efficiently and effectively manage the entire infrastructure through a single platform.
Nowadays, there are 3 types of cloud models:
Operated and supported by companies that provide a public network infrastructure with affordable computing resources. With Public cloud service companies no longer need to have on-premises networking capabilities, buying equipment that will become obsolete within 5 years, they can simply acquire the convenience of having their infrastructure ecosystem in the responsibility of a provider and rely on their specialized management.
The private cloud is an infrastructure operated exclusively by a single company, with internal management, or by a third party hosting the solution on the client's own or at some other location (hardware installed in a third-party data center). The private cloud has advantages over a public one, due to the efficiency of the machines dedicated only to the operations of that company 100% of the time, besides providing a greater control of the resources on premises, avoiding the multi tenacity.
The interface to access the hardware and manage the virtual machines through an orchestrator, generates a control over the desired services, freeing the IT team to provide and best allocate the necessary on-demand resources, bringing specific security to meet the requirements of the company.
The hybrid cloud involves using the entire internal infrastructure of the most relevant to the company, the core where all the information considered of paramount importance is stored such as the database and intranet systems. The public cloud or the machines themselves, also have data storage and processing capabilities are normally used to manage workload, disaster recovery, and information backup.
